In other news..

In reply to comment, it’s the cheekbones that do it. Although she is like a fox and I am merely a human being of the most normal order. I hope anyway haha.
Yes now I come to think of it my cheekbones are one of my most endearing features. I like them. I think people are far too self critical sometimes. It’s good to be self critical cos it stops you turning into a complete ego trip, but then it becomes this huge list you end up creating of all the things wrong with yourself and then it’s hard to dig yourself out to that hole. Who says you can’t be selfish sometimes and say "What I really like about myself is.." etc. Lol that was a random thought  but there you go.
 
In other lovely naomi news.. I went to a gig last night, ye olde grabheadliftleg thingymabob, it was fun but then suddenly I was drunk, how it happened I do not know. Well maybe I do. But you know. Then we had to walk from Belps to Ambers. I didn’t really mind, it wasn’t cold so I was down with that idea baby.
 
Lauren I hope you’re reading this, it’s Neighbours related. I was so pissed off today at it because theres this whole STD storyline but the programme just, just manages to skirt around the nitty gritty of the whole situation. It always does that. It was like "I think I’ve got a disease! My ex boyfriend has the disease and now I think I’ve got the disease!" WELL WHAT IS IT? AIDS OR CRABS?? God. They could throw the viewer a frickin bone and actually say the name of it. And they were all acting like someone’s gonna die, and why, why would Janae go to Karl?? He was acused of trying it on with her and now he’s poking around with her you-know-what! Yes, you-know-what! Ok I’ll stop now. It’s just all too silly and slightly too graphic for my liking.
 
I must leave, I am tired, but one last thing, I just watched theres something about mary and it was the single most hilarious thing ive ever seen hahaaa
I’d forgotten how funny it is
 
So that made me happy

Hunky Dory

I just watched Solaris.. it was good, but the plot was a little thin. Like rice paper, it says on the packet you can eat it, but it still feels like you’re eating a sheet of A4. That’s how I’d describe Solaris ha ha ! But you know, the soundtrack was pretty cool so I’ll let it off.
 
So I stayed in tonight. Ho hum. I wanted to go to the pub.. Waah. I just got a call from Frag - he’s at the pub! Why am I not there!? Ho hum oh yes the rain and the cold :( I had a distressing experience today, the college bus didn’t leave college til half 5 (we finish lessons at half 4) and then when we got to Ripley 3 boys said to the driver "Can you drop us off at Codnor mate" to the driver and he fucking said YES! So not only were we like an hour late home but we took a 20 minute detour to friggin Codnor and back! christ what is going on. I got home at..lets see.. ten to seven. Thats almost 2 and a half hours after college finished! Really is tekin the piss!
 
I calmed down after a while though. But I’m still writing a complaint because also everyone smokes on the bus every day, I thought that was illegal? And tis not very nice to smell when you’re not a smoker.
 
Oh! I almost forgot
 
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM! 22!!
 
 
Yes my brother is 22 today. God! That’s crazy. I bought him a wicked present, he’s gonna love it when it finally turns up lol. 4 to 8 days delivery indeed!
 
Sooo anyway folks I suppose that’s all for now, I’ll keep adding photos on so keep looking if ya wanna see some cool NY pics and other stuff I find.

Technological wizardry!

Well after about 6 years complaining we didn’t have a scanner that worked, I just dug it out and with a little searching here and there and a little patience and (huge) skill I got it working!!!!! Fucking groundbreaking!! I feel well chuffed!
 
This means we can still have pics up on the space without a need for a digicam! Excellent stuff.
 
There’s a few new NY pictures up, I’ll get the rest up when I have the courage to scan the whole lot in :| and thats like 90 prints.
 
In the meanwhilst, here’s a couple of amazing photos I found in an album somewhere hehe

Having severe digital camera withdrawal symptons. I feel like I’ve lost a special friend.
 
I have not much to report apart from that little snippet. I went to a party on saturday and it was cool cool, was just like old times house parties he he

OHH also did anyone see Harold’s murderous rage in Neighbours yesterday? Dear, dear God. I knew he had a dark side! Knew it. Bit harsh though, trying to kill Paul. Don’t worry Harold, no-one knows you did it. Only your guilty conscience will give you away now my son.
And poor steph. But you know, I reckon she’ll die before the year’s out. That girl, she was doomed the moment Mark left her at the alter. For her younger sister! Damn.

Attention. My brother bought to my attention the fact that I had put in my last blog I was visiting Birmingham university, when in fact folks, I was actually visiting UCE Birmingham. How very, very sorry I am for this hideous mistake. No really. Just to clear this henious misunderstanding up, I was visiting a sub-department of the UCE (University of Central England) called the BIAD (Birmingham Institute for Art and Design). Great, now we can all get along.
O and also the course looks wicked. A big Yes, I’d say.
In other news - I just read Lord of the Flies. It was kind of disturbing but it was really good at the same time. There were deaths and stuff. I recommend you reading it, it’s a cool story. It reminded me of The Beach. I recommend that one too. Yes yes it is a book. Not the scrubby film with Crazy Dicaprio.
I gotta write an essay. Byebye now xxxxxxxxx

It’s off to Birmingham uni open day tomorrow, how jolly. I am most looking forward to it. And not just because I get to skip college, promise. I hope the course will be good. I’m pretty stuffed if it’s not lol. I’ve written my personal statement! Huzzah! It took forever. God, I’m glad I didn’t have to write one for Fine Art. They all have to include all this arty farty airy fairy nonsense in theirs. Well they don’t have to but that’s how they like to write. *Shudder
 
Hopefully we may come across my brother in ol’ Brum,but unfortunatly I hear he’s up to his ass in coursework. Or neck, whatever. Anyhoo, lets hope he can put a few minutes aside for his mother and sister.
In other news, I am better from my freak illness of last week, to be replaced by a familiar boredom, slight feeling of panic and maybe a touch of hysteria at the work I need to do for col. But hey it’s not all bad. I get to draw. And cut and stick. And paint. And mess around with PVA glue hhehehehehehheeeeee
 
Cough. Soooooo that’s all for now, maybe I shall blog soon bout my plans for the summer. And what a great summer it promises to be! Roll on summer. Je t’aime.

Disapointment for Pancake Day

Been pretty ill the last few days, caught some kinda horrible bug. I was sick. I hate being sick. And it’s one of those flu things that just makes you feel faintly sick all the time. Yuckkky. So it’s been a couple of uneventful days of feeling sick. Nice
I couldn’t even manage a pancake on pancake day :( darn
 
I’m feeling a bit better today though so that’s cool.
