Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

I’m rate bored. You know when you got stuff to do but you really don’t wana do it so you put it off, well thats me now!

whoop  Here’s me and Lauren! Playing around with my new camera…hehe there’s some wicked templates on it. Let’s have a caption competetion! I don’t know what to put in the speech bubbles, anyone got any ideas??

Anyhoo, I started playing Doom 3 again yesterday, I was actually less scared than before so I could actually play for more than 5 minutes mwaha. It’s such a difficult game! Well for someone of my skill on FPSs lol. So yeh I’m only at the Communications HQ and I think it’s a really long game so I’m estimating at the rate I’m advancing it’s going to take me about…5 years or so to get to the end lol.

Ta ta. I will blog something useful soon. Like a cake recipe or a quirky anecdote.

I was just thinking about wicked quotes from films and I love this one from Indiana Jones and The Lost Ark, at the end when he’s trying to find out where the Ark has been taken, and it’s like “We have top men working on it right now.” “Who?” “Top. Men.” Then the guy with the Ark on a trolley is like Wham! I am so putting you in a huge warehouse full of government secrets and lies! And there’s a really obvious matt painted background but it’s ok! Cos the warehouse looks vast! Yay I love Indiana Jones.

In other news, our family has had a very busy weekend, organising a leaving party for our neighbour, Jane, who is going to live Down Under, so that was fun on Saturday. And today we’ve been killin ourselves in the garden, as you do. Moved the entire shed down the garden, so the yard is clear for.. a little purchase my dad has acquired. Tell you about it sometime!!

I’ve finished all my work, how cool is that? I don’t know what to do with myself now! No work to do in the evenings, it’s a radical idea, I know, but it’s true. The only thing I have to do now is learn all my piano scales and pieces ready for my exam on July 5th. But that’s all fun so it’s cool!

Even better, I got a call a bit earlier and I’ve got a job interview!! Yay!!! At the one and only Spar down the road, haha. I’m so happy I’m finally in with a chance to get back on the old payroll. In fact this has been a pretty good day indeed, all things good.

Now I’ve finished college I can pursue activities I have not had time to partake in such as swimming and writing and shopping and yay! Sounds good to me. I forgot about my story I was writing but I think now I’ve got some more time on my hands I’m gonna try write a lil’ more. By the way if anyone wants to come to my exhibition its all week starting Monday 26th June at Chesterfield College. I know it’s a long shot but it’s going to be a very cool exhib. Ah well.

Ok folks I’m off to have me some good old-fashioned summer holiday relaxing! xx x

Well I have been utterly appalled not once, but twice today. And all in the last hour. Gosh I am so angry. But I must not go on, I must be calm. There we go. Maybe I’ll just write the short version of appallations. One, I was watching Stargate on FX and the channel didn’t even add in the SUBTITLES for the Egyptian parts, which is a substantial amount of the film. So the film was basically unwatchable. I failed to comprehend why this occured as the film was obviously made originally with subtitles. It’s ridiculous. And it definitly wasn’t my TV. So that was first appallation, be glad you got the short version. In fact I was so utterly appalled at this lazy formatting I wrote them a complaint on their website.

Second, I just read something on MSN Today about some sort of brawl that broke out in London, yes, because of England’s first World Cup match. I swear, this country is going to the dogs. Mainly I find it embarrassing that quite a lot of people in our country can’t even watch a popular sport without turning into beer-swilling, testosterone-fuelled, loud, violent apes. It is actually like monkeys on crack. It makes me so upset, what’s going on with our country? I don’t like this culture, if you could call it that. A pretty fucked up culture a lot of fans have got themselves there, if it involves all that shit. Sorry for swearing. And it’s a shame because it’s not all football fans that act like complete twats. I feel kinda sorry for the fans who actually want to enjoy the game and not use it as an excuse to act like… complete twats! because that label passes onto them too.

Maybe the hooliganism thing is just… using football matchs as a vehicle to vent their dissatisfaction of thier lives..or the government.. Or maybe they are just so pathetically small-minded that they have absolutely nothing better to do than get pissed and start a fight. I’m rooting for that second one, lol.

Jeez! That about rounds up my rants for the week. It was going to be the short version but hey, never mind. Hehe. Apart from that complete drop in mood I am in good-ish spirits, having completed all my practical work for my Major Project. Just got a medium amount of writing to do, mount my work and hey presto, exhibition is sorted. Mucho excito! I watched a good ep of Doctor Who this eve, it was one of those impossible situations but the ol’ Doc managed to get them outta there, yes yes he is a legend. One thing though, the devil badguy in it said that Rose was going to die in battle. Hmmm. This is obviously a hint of whats to come, and I know theres going to be some sorta huge finale at the end of the series.. I hope she doesn’t die, but if the devil guy said so… then maybe she will. I hope not though, I like her character. And her and the Doc are clearly soulmates, lol. Deary me!

Hello once more

Sunday, June 4th, 2006

Ho hum, what a delightful weekend it has been. I would, doubtless, have enjoyed it more if I wasn’t sat in my studio half the time. Well I say studio but it’s just a room where my father and myself jostle for space for painting (me) and pottering around with bits of wire and circuit boards (him). In addition to this is it not unlike a sauna in the summer. The reason for this remains unknown as there are french windows and one of those death windows that you can open all the way and fall out of, if you liked. But no matter - the heat gave a pleasant light-headed feeling after about 3 or 4 hours, heightened by the fact that I was painting a couple of suited dog-faced men with wings. All in all I enjoyed it much and now they are done! And Hot Damn I don’t mind saying that I really am proud of them.

Death defying stunt of the day today was when I got up too fast and had a blood pressure episode, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. Well i stood up and stretched and then there was that ‘Oh dear’ feeling then my vision went all black and you kinda forget where you are! Usually when I get that it passes pretty quickly but this one was the worst I’ve experienced and I was aware that I was holding onto the table and I started kind of.. shaking involuntarily! I know it sounds odd but I didn’t have any control over my body..uurrr it was scary. It was horrible! I was just stood there flippin out and my Mum was like “Why aren’t you dressed yet??!” And I was thinking “Dammit woman, having a minor problem here!” Then I sat down on the floor and I felt really funny for ages. *Shudder. So there you go.

I’m ok now anyway. In other news, I’m reading this wicked book called Dreamcatcher, it’s by Stephen King it’s well cool. Bout alien abductions n stuff hehe sounds cheesy but it’s actually pretty freaky!
