Radiohead are the greatest. I had the honour of watching them live and in the flesh at the Manchester L.C.C.C last night, and they were absolutely PHENOMENAL! Everything about the show was sheer class - amazing venue, awesome light show, a PERFECT set list and some cool ass funky dancing from Thom Yorke to boot!!!

I shall go and see them again and again until the day I die or the day I go bankrupt!!

Found this beautiful video of Thom and Jonny covering Portishead’s The Rip. The link is being annoying so just scroll down the main blog entrys to Mon 09 June

In other news today

Photography is my new favourite thing to do. I’ve been pottering around in the darkroom for 8 weeks and it’s been jolly good fun. I like the smell.. I also got to make a pinhole camera out of a beer can, which apart from being an extreme novelty item produced some pretty good results. The one disadvantage of this camera is I look like an alchy, walking around Birmingham clutching a beer can. But I guess that’s a pretty frequent sight lol…..

RADIOHEAD have brought out a new album for your listening pleasure. You can even download it for free. When you go to buy the download, the price box is empty and there is a red question mark next to it, once clicked upon reads “It’s up to you.” This presents with a problem. Should you give a donation for their effort? Or is the temptation of free music too strong?

Needless to say, I couldn’t bear paying nothing for it. I mean, I know they’re offering, but I just can’t do it! Radiohead are too great! However I am a poor student, so I gave them a fiver for their effort. Apparently over two thirds of people who downloaded it paid nothing. Scallys. www.radiohead.com

Also. I heard TWO Radiohead tracks on Radio 1 last night. TWO! I doubt they play more than two a year. That’s it for 2007. :D

One last thing!! UFC 80……….Oh yes you’d better believe it because on January 19th 2008 I am so going to be in Newcastle in some massive arena surrounded by a male/female ratio of like 2000:1, watching some motherfucking fighting. Hell yes!

Went to see Big D and the Kid’s Table in Derby on Wednesday, they were most awesome

Last night I went to Frag’s house for a massively huge house party to celebrate the 18th birthing day of said friend, cue lots of alcohol and laughs to be had it wer well good innit!

Currently I am enjoying the comforts of home such as TV, sofas and food other than pasta.

YESTERDAY I experienced possibly the worst journey from Birmingham to Ambergate EVER. I say this with no exaggeration, everything just went tits up from the off. First of all I left my flat too late. This was the catalyst. The bus I got on seemed to stop at EVERY stop and red light, I was getting so stressed out that I forgot to breathe properly temporarily, then remembered that I should really be taking a deep breath. So I did. Right, then I got off the bus and LEGGED IT to the station,

Run Naomi Run!!!

Unfortunatly this did not help. I ran and I ran and I got to the platform and - NO the God Damn train was literally just pulling away. I BLEED!!! I was pissed off, as were several other people who aspired to catch said train and failed miserably like myself.

No matter though, there was another train arriving in about 20 minutes and I might be able to still get my connection, I thought. I sat down to calm the fuck down, as I was a bit angry. It was then that I noticed this funny smell. The source of this smell as I soon discovered was my pasta lunch that had spilled into my bag due to running too much. There was tuna all over my stuff. For the love of God! There was tuna on my keys, my books, my Total Film and embedded in my phone. After clearing up most of the mess as well I could without any tissue, I realised my phone had fucked up with all the tuna juice all over it. This added to my fateful predicament.

To cut it short, I finally got to Derby and the train to Ambergate had been bleeding cancelled. I thought nothing else could go wrong! I was clearly most mistaken. And the reason why it was cancelled? There was no GUARD to whistle it off. NO GUARD. No guards in the entire station apparently. What the FUCK is all I can say to that.

So I had to walk half way across the world to get a bus that cost me extra.

Finally got home. After walking up the mountain that is Newbridge Road.

BUT DON’T GET ME WRONG! I’m not annoyed now. Just a bit cold, this house is like the fucking arctic!!! Nah I’m good. safe

I’m going to go now, to construct a letter bomb to send to Central Trains for messing up my journey and not employing enough guards.

Boredom!

Is a most terrible affliction. Once it infects you it is very difficult to fight off. Boo.

I’m in the middle of composing a toon on my piano, yeah it’s only about 10 seconds long at the moment (hah) but hopefully it shall grow into a beautiful compositionary wonder.

When I was little I wrote a tune called ‘The Mouse at Night’. Such a lovely song…I had like 4 beats in the first bar and 7 in the next and 5 after that hahaha..guess I wasn’t too hot on my time signatures.

Uni. On Friday we made 3D characters in illustration…so much fun we had indeed. The fruit of our labour can be seen in the picture! We call him Bebop, the Royal Ambassador of the planet Green! He travels to many different galaxies to seek out new allies for his kingdom, in his attractive green cloak and ceremonial hat.

We made him out of various random objects, including a teddy bear, yogurt pots bottle lids and a kitchen roll tube.

And they tell me I’m doing a mickey mouse degree!

But it really was a lot of fun, we were all sat together in the studio which we don’t often get to do, and I’ve actually got some really good ideas for our little Bebop! Develop him into a proper little creature and make him the star of a book or a comic strip. Fun fun!

Dunno why but the pictures aren’t working :( Theres a pic of Bebop on my myspace anyway x

25th May: two important occasions

Thursday, May 25th, 2006

One, it’s Frag’s birthday. Happy Birthday Frag, we love you. Two, X Men 3 comes out today! Woop! Yes so two good things on one fine day. Huzzah. I am so annoyed that our nearest cinema is in such an unreachable place if you don’t have a car. Tut. I am insanely jealous of Tim who is always going to the cinema, stupid Birmingham and all it’s cinemas. But I will be the fool no longer, as I shall have the delights of Brum at my own disposal in a few months time. Ooh scary!!

Two other films I am reeeeeeeeeeeally looking forward to in the near future are Pirates 2, obviously, and also this crazy looking film called A Scanner Darkly, it looks so awesome! It’s sorta animated..but with real people in it. I think it was filmed normally then animation was put over the top of it. Very cool. It looks reet up me street, it does.

I made a bit of a desicion the other day to go to more gigs, particularly of bands that I actually like. Everyone seems to be going to their bands favourite gigs, so I want to too! I’m thinking Mars Volta and Radiohead. That’s if they haven’t split up or something :’( That will be a sad day, that will. Apparently Thom Yorke is doing a solo project though, so that shall be veeeery interesting, heh. He’s such a cute little wierdo! That’s why I love him. I’m feeling him as an I Would contender. Maybe. Lol

Oh this is scandalous. I just checked for Radiohead tours and they’re playing a gig with BECK supporting…in fucking Edinburgh!!!!!!! WHAT!! Why wasn’t I informed. All the tickets have sold out! And it’s at the bloody end of the world practically! This is terrible. They’d best be doing some sort of normal tour in the future. God! How much would I give to go to that gig. LOADS!!!!!

:) xxx
